  1. You are a senior in college and are planning to continue your studies in graduate business school. You have a high grade point average and know that many good schools would be ready to accept you. List each phase of the consumer decision-making process and describe how you will go about deciding which school you'll go to.

  2. Assume that you have been trying to become a member of a prestigious campus club and have finally been invited to join. The members of this club typically wear extremely expensive "pump" style athletic shoes. List and briefly describe four factors that could influence your level of involvement in the purchase of these shoes. How involved will you be in this purchase and why?

  3. List and define each level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

  4. What is a reference group? Name and describe four types of reference groups as they may relate to your purchase of a new wardrobe.

  5. Apply the three methods of changing attitudes about brands to the marketing activities of the company that makes your brand of toothpaste.
